Public Affairs Manager
Tanner has been with the Chapter for 5 years, starting as an intern.
Working hard, Tanner has been promoted to Public Affairs Manager where he is tasked with advocating for policies to make New York State more friendly to merit/open shop contractors.
He works daily to promote our legislative goals outlined in our merit shop legislative agenda at the local, state, and federal levels.
In addition, Tanner serves as Membership Director for WNY to take care of the needs of members in the region, including fulfilling education, and training needs and working to provide an environment beneficial to the merit shop philosophy.
During his time at ABC Tanner has:
- Worked on multiple award winning grassroots campaigns.
- Helped facilitate the launch of the chapter Legal Defense Fund
- Written multiple blog articles that advocate and promote the needs of chapter membership
- Frequently travels all of New York State to advocate for ABC members
- Helped the team block countless PLA and other harmful mandates
- Helped the Chapter build strong connections at every level of government
Prior to ABC, Tanner graduated from Brockport University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Communications.
